The school conducts ‘Open Day’- ‘ PRATHIBHA’ in the month of October / November every year. The students learn science concepts by the heuristic method. Parents and the public visit the school on this day to encourage the student lot. ‘It is the annual platform to display their multiple intelligence with special focus on science. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the learning community. Students from LKG to X enthusiastically participate in the event. The students under the supervision of parents and teachers prepare dummy models, working models and charts on science and maths concepts. In a nutshell, the open day activity encourages independent and intellectual thinking, empowering the students to learn more.

The school is constantly sensitizing the students about keeping the school’s surroundings clean. The school was inducted to CMCA in 2008 August. Since then, the students of the school have been taking a keen interest in promoting civic sense within the school. In the district level competition hosted by CMCA, our school students won the first prize for two consecutive years.

The school has undertaken a major project this year- “campus cleaning drive”. The students of the school have been divided class wise to clean the campus area wise. They are being monitored by the teachers. The objective of this programme is to inculcate the values of cooperation, civic mindedness, team spirit and dignity of labour.

Various Science projects are under taken regularly. Fileld trips are a constant source of knowledge for our students, who realize that if we don’t respect and protect our heritage present in the environment, we run the risk losing them forever. Developing a Green Thumb: The school Science Club launched a programme at the campus- a huge initiative to plant saplings to make the campus look green and salubrious. Thanks to the initiative taken by the Alumni Association that spearheaded the event on World Habitat Day. The students from all the class participated and planted 25 saplings in the campus.
