Rajas P of X ‘A’ and Stuti Y.R. of IX ‘B’ took part in the Inter- High School Science Paper Reading Competition on 19 Dec. 2012, hosted by ST. JOSEPH’S HIGH SCHOOL, Jayalakshmipuram, Mysore. Rajas won the first place and both the contenders won the K.T. Muthamma Rolling Shield on the basis of their overall performance in the contest. Rajas made his presentation on the topic,’The impact of genetically modified food on the environment’,whereas Stuti’s topic was’ Global Warming and ways and means to alleviate its effects.

Rotary Mysore Brindavan conducted their annual science competition – VIGNANA ROTARY for three days. (21 Dec.- 23 Dec.2012) Four students, namely – Rajas P, Sankeerth Gujjari, Vibhav N. K., and Aravind Venkatesh of Std. X took part in the contest and won the third place with a cash prize of Rs. 8000.They had designed a working model based on the concept – ‘Dust Free Home.’

Vidyavardhaka college of Engineering GoKulam,III stage, Mysore hosted NEN-E week 2013, from  February 9th to 15th  for high school students.

The event included science fair exhibition, Best out of waste competition and career counseling.
The following VIII std students of our school took part in the science fair and Best out of Waste competition and won cash prizes.
Thaposhreshtaa C, Skanda M.S, Samarth.S won III Prize in science fair with a cash prize of Rs.600/-.
They had prepared a model of Hoover craft .
Neha.R , Rachna.P, Himashree.B, Harshitha.P won III prize in science fair with a cash prize of Rs.600/-.
They had made a model of smoke and darkness detector.
Individual prize- Thnposhreshtaa C I place in Best out of waste.
He made innovative toys for children using tin cans.

Ashmitha U, Vaibhavi J K, Sanchitha L Anand and Smruthi B T of std VII, Chandana R N , Deeksha V Shankar of std VI bagged the I prize in Sanskrit Group song competition in the Interschool Sanskrit competition organized by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Vijayanagar, Mysore on 13-7-2013.
